Programming

Our programming and events celebrate Jewish culture and traditions with interactive experiences around Jewish holidays and themes.

Preschool Programming

Offering hands-on, play-based activities for young children, including family events and incursions at Jewish preschools, and resources for secular preschools. 

School-aged Programming 

Collaborating with the Board of Jewish Education (BJE), local organisations, and synagogues to engage with children in public schools and foster connections and conversations on Jewish traditions. 

Professional Learning 

Supporting educators through workshops and conferences on integrating Jewish literature and expanding learning outcomes. 

Educational Resources 

Providing resources on Jewish holidays and themes for parents and educators, emphasising hands-on, play-based learning. 

On the Road 

Reaching families outside key Jewish hubs across NSW and ACT through roadshows, playgroups, and outreach events.  

Partnerships 

Collaborating with Jewish organisations, including WIZO, BJE, Maccabi NSW, The Sydney Jewish Museum, Mum for Mum, schools, and synagogues to create events, hands-on experiences, and communal resources that celebrate Jewish life and values. 

PJ Library Books 

Shalom Collective supports PJ Library book delivery. 

PJ Library delivers free storybooks celebrating Jewish culture, values, and traditions. Ten books a year are mailed directly to children so they can create home libraries filled with timeless classics, modern tales, and unique Jewish stories.  

Since its inception in 2011, PJ Library has grown from 400 to more than 1,500 monthly subscriptions across NSW & ACT.
